Below you will find all of the available service opportunities during Community:Serve.
You’ll notice that each organization has a website listed (if available). This website will give you more information about the organization. Additionally, a champion is listed with each opportunity. This person represents the given ministry and has coordinated each opportunity to serve. They are the best person to contact if you have questions.
When you are ready to register, please visit the registration page. There you can find your preferred organization and register online to participate. Once you have registered, the champion will contact you with details related to the event.

Serving Neighbors

AIDS Care Service
Empowering and serving our brothers and sisters living with HIV/AIDS and educating our community in the struggle against the disease. ACS provides housing, groceries, medical case management, risk counseling, and family support.

A cook-out, time of fellowship and invitation to visit Calvary within a new housing complex in Mocksville.

A Christian ministry promoting  sexual purity, a life-affirming view of pregnancy, and healing.

Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina
Sharing hope by providing Christian services to children of all ages, teen mothers, single mothers, developmentally disabled adults as well as frail and aging adults.

Dental Bus
A mobile Dental Bus serving neighbors in need of dental care and sharing the hope of Christ.

Bethesda Center for the Homeless
A day shelter and emergency night shelter for homeless men and women, helping clients move into permanent housing.

Emergency Personnel Ministry
A ministry to firefighters, law enforcement officers, and the EMS in Forsyth and Davie County.
  • Deliver notes of appreciation and food gifts to fire and police stations.
  • Please contact the Champion for a station assignment.

Calvary Jail Ministry
Reaching inmates for Christ at the Davie Detention Center in Mocksville.

Forest Park Elementary School
Encouraging the staff, organizing the materials and school grounds to contribute to a successful and attractive place for children to learn.

Crisis Control
Founded by Christian churches in 1973, the mission is to assist people in crisis to meet essential life needs and to become self-sufficient.
  • Donate canned tuna/salmon, peanut butter, and jelly.  Items can be placed in the Bring It In Bins.
FROG Family Fun
Time of fellowship and sharing faith with the families of the Southside FROG ministry.  FROG (Fully Relying on God) is a tutoring/Bible lesson ministry at Southside.

Collecting coats, as well as gloves, hats, and scarves for children and adults.

Galen Tidd Memorial Sports Camp
A multi-sport camp available to youth in the Forest Park community in honor of the late Galen Tidd, who was a youth advocate and tireless worker in Calvary’s Recreation Ministry.

Prodigals Community
A faith-based interdenominational recovery community that offers a long-term program of recovery from chronic substance abuse that includes a twelve-step recovery, and spiritual formation.  Prodigals Property Services is a ministry of Prodigals Community that helps develop skills while providing affordable services for the community.
  • Attend the Prodigals Community Monday Night worship service
  • Collect/Acquire donated equipment (new & used) for Prodigals Property Services

Kimberley Park Elementary School
Encouraging the staff, organizing the materials and improving school grounds to contribute to a successful and attractive place for children to learn.

Salvation Army
Sharing the Gospel by meeting tangible needs:  To feed, clothe, comfort, and care without discrimination.

Love Notes
Create greeting cards of encouragement to be used in various ministries throughout the church and community.

Samaritan Ministries
Providing hope and healing by sharing food, shelter and guidance with the hungry, homeless and people in need through Christian love and service.

On Wings Like a Dove
A ministry to the loved ones of prodigals and prisoners.
  • Pack a shoebox for children with parents in prison
  • Prepare inmate hygiene packets

  • Pray in the On Wings prayer room
  • Prepare a budge relief pounding box for families with a prodigal/prisoner

Winston-Salem Rescue Mission
A Christ-centered ministry providing shelter, food, clothing, and personal care items along with job training, Christian counseling, work therapy, and life skills and financial management classes.
Donate razors for men, feminine hygiene products and diapers (any size).  Items can be placed in the Bring It In Bins.
Salem Pregnancy Care Center
A Christian ministry promoting sexual purity and offering counseling about pregnancy, parenting, adoption, and relationships.
